Who

Enrollment is only open to St. Francis students who are enrolled in Kindergarten through sixth grade for Fall of the next school year.

Cost

$225.00 per child per each 5 day weekly camp. Late Registration $250.00. Week 1 and Week 4 are prorated for amount of days.  $35.00 annual registration fee. 


Daily Activities..

Snacks

Every day two snacks will be provided, one before lunch and one after lunch. 

Outdoor Activities

Every day children will have at least two activities outside.  Some activities will be based on the weekly camp theme as well as free time play.

Literacy Activities

Every day children will have library time where they will read.  During lunch time children will listen to an excerpt from a popular school book or classical piece of literature based on the weekly theme.

Art Activities

Every day an art project or creative learning activity will be done.  Art activities range between using paints, clay, paper mache, or free form art with markers, crayons, and colored pencils.

Social Group Activities

Every day children will engage in a group activity where they can practice in sharing and working together.  Social activities range between a structured sports game, a group science project, or free form social play outside.


2024 MK Summer Camp Themes

  1. Welcome Campers: Kick off the summer with a week of fun introductions, icebreaker games, and team-building activities. Campers will get to know each other, learn camp rules, and set the stage for an unforgettable summer adventure.

  2. Space Expedition: Blast off into a week of cosmic exploration! Campers will learn about planets, stars, and galaxies through hands-on activities, crafts, and stargazing. They'll even get to build their own model rockets.

  3. Magical Creatures: Step into a world of fantasy as we discover the mysteries of magical creatures. From dragons to unicorns, campers will embark on quests, create enchanted crafts, and dive into the lore of mythical beings.

  4. Survivor Week: Test your survival skills in a week filled with outdoor challenges, obstacle courses, and teamwork tasks. Campers will learn about wilderness survival, navigation, and resourcefulness in a fun and safe environment.

  5. Chef for a Day: Don your aprons for a delicious week of culinary adventures! Campers will learn basic cooking skills, explore international cuisines, and create their own tasty dishes to share with friends and family.

  6. Ocean Life: Dive into the deep blue as we explore the wonders of ocean life. Campers will learn about marine ecosystems, create ocean-themed crafts, and participate in activities that highlight the importance of ocean conservation.

  7. Sports Mania: Get active with a week of sports and games! Campers will try their hand at a variety of sports, learn about teamwork and sportsmanship, and participate in a mini-Olympics to showcase their skills.

  8. Circus Fun: Step right up to a week of circus excitement! Campers will learn juggling, clowning, acrobatics, and other circus arts, culminating in a spectacular show for friends and family.

  9. Robotics: Dive into the world of technology with a week of robotics fun. Campers will build and program their own robots, learn about the basics of robotics engineering, and compete in friendly robot challenges.

  10. Art Inspiration: Unleash your creativity in a week dedicated to the arts. Campers will explore various art mediums, learn about famous artists, and create their own masterpieces to take home.

  11. Animal Kingdom: Embark on a safari adventure as we explore the animal kingdom. Campers will learn about different species, their habitats, and conservation efforts through interactive activities, crafts, and possibly even a visit from some furry friends.

A Theme

Each week has a main theme in which most activities will be based on.  Theme details coming soon!

A Field Trip

Each week the children will go on two field trips.  A field trip related to the camp's weekly theme and an outdoor excursion that may involve a water park or other active play.  Field trip details coming soon! 

Science and Math

Each week has a science lesson and math lesson related to the weekly theme. 

Technology Skills

Each week children will be exposed to technology.


What you need to bring

  • A packed lunch.

  • Appropriate coats and/or clothing for outside activities.

  • A book to read during library time.

  • Sunscreen.

  • Water bottle.

  • Backpack.
